My love of painting portraits is relatively recent ( last four years). Once I mastered glazing I moved onto Ala Prima painting which I found very challenging and exciting in equal measure! To actually capture a very good likeness and spirit of a person is incredibly rewarding and satisfying. Being an animal lover I love to paint pets/animals.
